Johnathon Seth Harper, 36, of Fresno, California, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Fresno, California.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, April 29, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Aaron Moore officiating. Private interment will be held in Pinetta Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Seth was born February 9, 1988, in Decatur, Georgia, to Joseph Harper and Leah McMillan Harper Johnson. An avid reader, Seth learned to read before entering Kindergarten in Tucker, Georgia, where he continued his school years. He and his mother later moved to Cordele, Georgia and he attended South Georgia Technical College in Americus and Cordele, majoring in Computer Technology. He relocated to California where he held various positions in the computer tech field. Seth enjoyed reading, researching, fishing and camping with his dad, Joe, playing board games, especially Monopoly, and spending time on his McMillan Family’s Farm in Irwin County. He later became a seasoned traveler, spending time between Georgia and California.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph Harper (Tracy) of Hanford, California and Leah Johnson (Robert) of Cordele; grandmother, Peggy McMillan of Cordele, an aunt, Livia Ousley (Ron) of Byron, Georgia; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those desiring to send donations may send them to St. Joseph’s Research Hospital or to the donor’s favorite charity.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
