Obituary

Melissa M. Karlon, 54, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Born in Worcester, Melissa was the daughter of Michael Karlon and Carol (Lavigne). She leaves behind a son, Jacob Comeau of Indiantown, Florida, and is survived by her father, Michael Karlon, and his wife, Rhonda of Millbury, and her mother, Carol (Lavigne) Hope of Fiskdale. Melissa is also survived by her brother, Mark Karlon, and his wife, Nira of Webster, MA, and two sisters, Tina Karlon of North Brookfield, Kellie Paquette of North Brookfield, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends and relatives whose lives she touched and meant the world to her. She is predeceased by her step-father, Robert Hope and a brother-in-law Derek Paquette.

Melissa attended Ware High School, Ware, Massachusetts, and went on to work for many years in the hospitality industry. She was a dedicated waitress and bartender, known for her warm personality and friendly service and love of people. Over the years she could be found working at Crescent City Steakhouse, Piccolos on Shrewsbury Street, Peppercorns Restaurant, and Haymakers in North Brookfield. Melissa enjoyed going to the beach, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester, MA. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
