Holden: Lois L. (Ljungberg) Johnson, 100, passed away on April 25, 2024 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. Her husband, Stanley Johnson, predeceased her. She leaves several nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Lois was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur and Esther (Stohlberg) Ljungberg. She graduated from Worcester High School and worked as a clerk at the former Norton Company for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Holden. She enjoyed gardening, tennis, golf, skiing, and traveling through the National Parks with her late husband, Stanley. In her later years, Lois enjoyed talking politics, playing cards, reading, and sitting in the sun, smelling the salt air, and watching the ocean in all her forms while visiting friends in Rockport, Mass.
A graveside service and burial in All Faiths Cemetery will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’s memory may be made to the Perkins School of the Blind, the First Baptist Church of Holden, and the Holden Police Department.
