Rutland: Lynne E. (Carlson) Farsi, formerly of Shrewsbury and Worcester passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. She leaves her husband of 50 years, Mark Farsi, nieces and several cousins.
Lynne was born in Worcester daughter of the late Carl W. Hilding Carlson and Doris (Hagg) Carlson. She attended Worcester schools. She graduated from Clark University with BA and MA Degrees in English and from Worcester State College with a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught in the Auburn Public Schools for 36 years, retiring in 2003.
She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Worcester and belonged to the MTA, NEA, and various retired teacher organizations. Lynne had a passion for animals, especially cats, and loved gardening, reading, and spending time with the seagulls on her quiet beach at the Cape.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 10:30- 11:30 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society 5001 Angel Canyon Rd.
