Maidie Jackson Belflower, 71, of Tifton passed away Thursday, December 12, 2002, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiating. Mrs. Belflower was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Frank Krause, Ryan Krause, John Hodge, Andy Hodge, Michael Bracewell and Jerry Duckworth served as pallbearers.
Born July 4, 1931, in Johnson County, Mrs. Belflower was the daughter of the late Wiley Jackson and Evelyn Taylor Jackson. She was also preceded in death by two daughters and one son. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Belflower is survived by her husband, Areol Belflower of Tifton; one son, McKinley Whitehead of Columbia, South Carolina; one daughter, Brenda Phillips of Lenox; four brothers, Don Jackson of Atlanta, Forest Jackson of Deland, Florida, Bobby Jackson of Virginia and Bill Odum of Adrian; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
