James Paul Gregorowicz, Scranton, passed away Saturday evening at home.
Born in Scranton in 1961, Jim was the son of the late Edward and Louise Visocky Gregorowicz. Jim was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School, the University of Scranton and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was in the private practice of law for the past 30 years in Scranton.
Surviving are a sister, Ann Marie Drake (John), Tafton, Pa.; three brothers, Edward (Julie), Lorton, Va.; John (Mary Ann), Chinchilla, Pa.; Andrew (Kimberly), Jessup, Pa.; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Jim was an avid sports fan, who loved watching the Phillies and Eagles games. He loved playing golf with his friends and brothers, especially on the annual brother's golf trips to Carroll Valley. Jim loved his cat Dexter, who was with him until the end. To his nieces and nephews he was the fun uncle who always brought a joke and a smile to cheer them up. Jim was lucky to have a great group of friends who stayed together and supported each other for many years. Jim left us way too early, and his warm smile and hearty laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.
Blessing service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Friends may call 9 a.m. until service time. Interment immediately after the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a kind donation to St. Jude's Hospital for Children in Jim's honor.
