Obituary

WEBSTER – Ronald J. “Breezy” Brisbois, 89, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Harrington Hospital, Webster after being stricken ill.

He leaves his wife, with whom he would have celebrated 69 years of marriage in June, Janice M. (Galvin) Brisbois; 3 children, Renee Ropiak and her husband John of Northbridge, Corinne Beaudoin and her husband Donald of Uxbridge, and Brian Brisbois and his wife Maryellen of Douglas; 7 grandchildren, Travis and his wife Ashley Brisbois, Tyler and his wife Emily Brisbois, Mackenzie Frissora and her husband Anthony, Kirsten Ropiak, Tanner Ropiak and his fiancé Hannah Ducharme, Alex Beaudoin and his wife Shea, Chandler Beaudoin and his significant other Amelia Lamountain; 3 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Maverick Brisbois and Francesca Brisbois. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of 2 more great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Guillette.

He was born at home on October 2, 1934 in Webster, the son of Albert F. and Marion E. (Massicotte) Brisbois.

Mr. Brisbois worked as the superintendent of the bleach and dye house at Cranston Print Works in Webster for 40 years retiring in 1995.

He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict era.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Breezy was first and foremost a family man, who cherished the time he spent with his family, whether on vacations or at weekly Sunday dinners. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the 200 Sportsman’s Club and played in their pitch league. Being a talented woodworker and carpenter he built his own home.

His funeral will be held on Monday, April 29, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Saint Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will take place Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home prior to Mass.
