BELMONT --- Roland Maurice Carignan, 80, of Holiday Lane, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.
Roland was born on June 18, 1943, in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Conrad L. Carignan and Simone (Morin) Carignan.
Roland dedicated his career to the automotive industry, starting at his father's business, Carignan Brothers Autobody, and later working for Pike Paving. He concluded his professional journey as an autobody repair instructor at the NH State Prison. Roland was known for his craftsmanship and skill, leaving a lasting impact on his students.
Outside of work, Roland found joy in woodworking, golfing, and playing games. He cherished time spent with family and friends, especially during his travels to covered bridges and as a "snowbird" in Florida.
Roland is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Sevigny) Carignan; step-son, Bill Tarallo, Jr.; step-daughters, Gina Tarallo and Tricia Giguere; brother Roger Carignan, and his wife, Jan; and his sisters-in-laws, Jo Carignan and Nancy Milton, several extended grandchildren; niece, Angela; and nephews Rick, Jay, and Troy.
A Calling Hour will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 9:00am-10:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am at the church.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
