Tuan Anh Le Do was born to the late Bang Cao Do and Thiên Thi Le on February 21, 1970, in Sai Gon, Vietnam. Tuan passed away on April 18th, at the age of 54 at Umass Memorial Hospital after a courageous and long-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife, Tammy Do and their three children, Katie Do, age 15, Kristie Do, age 11, and Kenny Do, age 10. While many knew him as Tuan, many others also knew him as ‘Andy’. Regardless of the name, he is remembered for his dedication to his family, his resilience throughout the battle, and the positive influence he had on others. Tuan graduated from Trung Vuong in 1988 and from Doherty High School in 1993, was an aerospace engineer for 20 years and a longtime resident of Worcester.
To his family, he was their greatest backbone. Tuan was the biggest supporter of Tammy and her business, Q-Look Bridal, whether it was to do the renovations himself for the shop or travel far to buy anything that she would need. Tuan ensured his children made it to every one of their doctor appointments, their religion classes, school and after school programs.
To his friends, he was the most gracious individual always offering his help and place to stay when they visited. He was also a devoted believer of the Catholic Church all his life. He had many interests but the most prominent revolved around technology of any kind.
While his battle with cancer went on for more than 15 years and there were many days of setbacks, he always went above and beyond to create lasting memories with his loved ones. Tuan cherished major events like holidays, birthdays and vacations and little moments from each day with his family. He was an irreplaceable cornerstone for all of them. This is how Tuan is honored, as an individual who endured one of the toughest obstacles all these years but never once let it diminish his character and his devotion.
Though his chapter in this life has come to an end, the family's love for Tuan and his love for them will continue on forever. Tuan Anh Do is survived by his wife, his children, his mother, his many siblings, and his nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Vilna Catholic Church on 153 Sterling Street. Cremation will follow in Rural Crematory, 180 Grove Street. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
