Joan West of West Roxbury and Waltham, passed away on April 18, 2024 at Lahey Hospital, Burlington, MA. Beloved daughter of the deceased Charles “Bill” William and Rita Teresa West (Casey) and the late Arlene Davidson. Joan was loved and will be missed by so many people including Donna Esolen, lifelong best friend of West Roxbury, Pauline Murray, caretaker and beloved staff of West Roxbury, Shelly Jose beloved staff and advocate of Peabody, MA. Close friends, Michael Delviscovo of Belmont and Kenneth Scirocco of Somervile, next of kin Ellen Angus of Abington and many cousins. Joan enjoyed the holidays with family and her caregivers. Joans infectious joy of life and commitment to her friends showed that people with disabilities can lead beautiful and fulfilling lives. Honoring Joans’ wish, the gift of life was shared with four people in need of an organ donation. Joan gave in death as she gave in life. Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Wednesday April 24 from 5-8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
