Obituary

Cynthia Margaret (Fisher) Lukowski, a resident at Linda Manor Extended Care in Leeds, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was born on March 22, 1950 in Northampton, MA to Victoria (Algustoski) and Harrison Fisher. Cynthia was a 1968 graduate of Northampton High School and of the former Holyoke Hospital School of Nursing. Cynthia was deeply and innately compassionate, generous and caring. She spent her entire career serving others as an RN at various local facilities as Head of Pediatrics at Holyoke Hospital, as a Nurse at the Hampshire County House of Corrections and at various area nursing homes. Nursing and caring for others, was her gospel. Cynthia’s world was her son, Jonas Clark, his wife Jessica and her two grandchildren, Kieri Lynn and Luke George, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Cynthia loved quilting, baking and visiting her siblings in Washington D.C. and Fort Myers, Florida. Besides her son and his family, Cynthia leaves behind her sister Marianne (Fisher) Donohue of Fort Myers, Florida; her brother James Fisher and his wife Kathy of Montclair, Virginia; her sister-in-law (but more like a sister) Karen (Sparko) Fisher of Easthampton; and many cousins, including Susan Sylvester and Kathy Sylvester Chapin, who provided such friendship and loving care, especially during Cyndy’s final days. She also leaves behind many nieces; Laura Fisher of Easthampton; Mary Fisher of Holyoke; Beth Fisher Hopper of Belmont, North Carolina; Jennifer Fisher Wiesen of Hollywood, Maryland and Amy Fisher of Alexandria, Virginia. She leaves one living uncle, Bob Toski, of Boca Raton, Florida, as well as many dear friends and former colleagues, all of whom were treasured by Cynthia. Cynthia was predeceased by her mother and father and recently deceased brother William “Billy” Fisher, along with her former husbands George Clark and Michael Lukowski. You will soar to heaven on angels’ wings, dear Cynthia. May you rest in peace. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 27th at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 173 Main St, Haydenville, MA followed by burial in St Mary of the Assumption Cemetery.
