Obituary

Franklin S. Evans, of Winchester, passed away suddenly on July 15 at Emerson Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia (Plunkett)and the dear father of Gayle Evans and her husband Chris Brearly of Westford and Franklin Evans and his fiance Cristina Desa of Acton. He was also the dear grandfather of Lexi Brearly of Westford.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank S. and Martina (Toolin)Evans. He was a 73-year resident of Winchester and a graduate of Winchester High School with the class of 1940. Upon graduation he attended Northeastern University. He was a manufacturer's agent in the auto industry, having expanded his skills and knowledge while serving as a machinist with Boston Gear Works during World War II. In his spare time, he enjoyed participation in the Automotive Booster's Club. He was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Winchester.

Frank's funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Tuesday, July 18 at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 155 Washington St. at 9 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to Emerson Home Care, Clock Tower Place, Suite 300, Building 2, Maynard, MA 01754.
