Obituary

Maureen Ann Espinosa, 81, died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Bear Creek Nursing Center in Hudson, FL. She was the widow of Paul Jerry Espinosa who died in October, 2022 after 55 years of marriage.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Stone) Kennedy. Maureen worked for many years at General Electric. Maureen and Jerry lived for fifteen years in Iowa, before moving to Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Maureen and Jerry made their home there until his passing in 2022, at which point Maureen moved to Sevierville, Tennessee. She later moved to Florida in 2023.

Maureen loved to garden, play Scrabble, complete puzzles and she loved butterflies. She loved being retired and spending time with her family who she loved deeply.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Palumbo, her step children, Michael Espinosa and Michelle Pagliaro, her grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy, Bob Palumbo, Joe Pagliaro, Cecil Stevens, Brian Espinosa, Brooke Espinosa, Amber Palumbo, and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Maureen Palumbo, Aliyha Pagliaro, Emily Murphy, Ella Murphy, and Oliver Stevens, as well as her siblings, Jim Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, Peggy Ferri and Mary Olney, and her many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She is predeceased by her sons Robert Palumbo, Edward Palumbo, and Kevin Palumbo and her siblings Rita, Claire, Joanie, Robert and Edward and her step son Jerry Lee Espinsoa.

Her funeral and visitation will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Rt44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation Wednesday morning 10:30 - 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Disease Research Foundation, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
