Paul Henry LaValley 1947-2024
Paul Henry LaValley passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the age of 76. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Henry and Bernadette (Tremblay) LaValley.
Paul was a man of diverse interests and passions. He found joy in sharing his saxophone music with many, and through his music, he shared his soul. He immersed himself in literature, particularly World War 2 history and the wonders of science. His love for adventure led him to enjoy many camping trips and the open road on his Harley Davidson, inevitably ending up at the beach. Hampton Beach held a special place for him and he found peace there.
Paul’s pursuit of knowledge and excellence was evident in his academic achievements. After graduation Cathedral High School in 1965, Paul went on to Berklee College of Music in Boston with two Bachelors degrees. He later went on to earn a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Paul was a friend of Bill W.’s for over 18 years.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Frances (Dery) LaValley.
Paul leaves his loving partner, Sandra (Sami) Vella. He also leaves sons Jeffery (Jennifer), Jason (Claudine), Jamesohn, (Lynn) and daughter Kelly. Paul leaves his beloved grandchildren Brian, Andrew, Robert, Julie, Cameron, Jamesohn, Trinity, Haley and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves Bonita LaValley.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A mass will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 8:30 am; Holy Name Church, 323 Dickinson St. Springfield, MA, followed by a celebration of life at his son’s home at 145 Evergreen Rd, Vernon, CT
