Thomas Andrew “Drew” Newsom Tunstall Jr., 20, of Mashantucket, passed away peacefully at Backus Hospital with his loving family at his side.
Born in Providence, he moved to Connecticut in 1990 and was a graduate of PAIS (Providence Academy of International Studies), and was currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at CCRI. He will be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin.
He is survived by his parents, Michelle Paige of Mashantucket and Thomas Newsom of Providence, his step-parents, Bryan Paige and Lekecia Cox; his grandparents, Sandra & Vincent Sebastian and Patricia Newsom and David Terry; his brothers, Clyde, Vincent, and Bryant Tunstall of Mashantucket, and Joshua Washington of Providence; his sisters, LaShonda Paige of Mashantucket, Brielle & Brionna Cox, Patricia Robinson and Allyaah Cook of Providence; and Tameka Washington of N.C., 4 nieces, Nyajaha, Jazlyn, Promise, and Lamia; a nephew, Clyde Tunstall Jr.; his girlfriend, Carol Ann Harris of Mashantucket, and a host of family and friends.
Thomas’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Mashantucket Pequot Spiritual Center, 938 Shewville Road, Ledyard on Wednesday from 11am until 12noon. A service will immediately follow at noon. Burial will be in the Mashantucket Pequot Burial Ground.
