Obituary

Sadao "Cowboy" Ogasawara, 74, of Ty Ty passed away Sunday, June 15, 2003, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with the Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Mr. Ogasawara was laid to rest at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery.

Rodney Bennett, Ken Hall, Bo Edenfield, Greg Hill, Howard Tucker, Richard Tucker, Dee Tucker, Joe Tucker, Tim Tucker and Vaughn Tucker served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty.

Born May 20, 1929, in Makawao, Maui Hawaii, Mrs. Ogasawara was the con of Yokiko Tamanaha Ogasawara of Pukalani, Maui Hawaii and the late Isamuel Ogasawara. Before retiring, he was a saw operator at Tifton Aluminum Company; and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Ogasawara is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Patricia Ogasawara of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Roy Odom and Pearl and Mickey Fore, all of Tifton; two brothers, Walter Ogasawara of Pukalani, Maui Hawaii and Edward Ogasawara of Los Angeles, California; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Wells, Marie Fore, Brittany Fore and Wayne Butler, all of Tifton, Christina Beasley of Belveder, South Carolina and Sheree Odom and Crystal Griffin, both of Jesup.
