TEWKSBURY: Edward J. Duffy, age 59, a longtime Tewksbury resident, formerly of Wrentham, passed away at his home on Friday, April 12, 2024, from an apparent heart-related condition.
Born in Norwood on November 9, 1964, he was the son of Dolores M. (Leary) Duffy, who survives him, of Wrentham, and the late Edward J. Duffy.
Ed was raised in Wrentham, attended local schools, and graduated from King Philip Regional High School.
Following high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School of Agriculture.
Ed worked in the landscape industry for many years. He was currently employed by East Coast Irrigation Company in Tewksbury, where he worked since 2014.
An avid outdoorsman, Ed loved spending time with his sons and friends canoeing and fishing.
In addition to his mother, family members include JoAnn M. Riddle-Duffy, Edward J. Duffy, III and Zachary T. Duffy and the late Joyce Ann Kusch and Keith Kusch. He leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 18th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street Tewksbury. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 19th at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover. At the request of Ed’s family, those attending his Funeral Mass are asked to meet at church. Services will conclude with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
