Thelma Boykin McMillan, 75, of Enigma passed away Saturday, December 20, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ronnie Luke and Harvey Nichols officiating. Mrs. McMillan was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.
Tim McMillan. Thomas Daniel McMillan, Donald Shane Harris, Shaun Patrick Harris, Tony Maton, Simon McDonald, Mathew McDonald and Chris Tucker served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Earl Register and Bill Register.
Born June 18, 1928, in Berrien County, Mrs. McMillan was the daughter of the late Benjamin Boykin and Mary Elizabeth Luke Boykin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. D. McMillan. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Holiness Baptist faith.
Mrs. McMillan is survived by two sons, Grady McMillan of Enigma and Thomas McMillan of Omega; six daughters, Bertie Jean Wright of Lakeland, Brenda Giddens of Enigma, Patricia Harris and Shirley Maton, both of Tifton, Linda McDonald of Pearson and Sara Smith of Fitzgerald; two brothers, Abrin Boykin, III and Cecil Boykin, both of Omega; two sisters, Stella Boykin of Adel and Carolyn Bruce of Lakeland; sixteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
