Barbara A. (Stafford) Carpenter, age 87, of Pembroke, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully on April 13, 2024 at Bridges at Epoch in Pembroke. Barbara was the wife of the late Albert Carpenter and daughter of the late Victor and Barbara (Mihalko) Stafford. She was born and raised in Norwood and was a graduate of Norwood High School.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was always willing to help others. For ten years she volunteered at the Charity Guild’s Thrift Store in Brockton. She enjoyed walking and thrifting. While a resident at Bridges she was an active participant in the activities offered.
Barbara was the mother of Linda Rondeau and her husband David of East Bridgewater and the late Scott Carpenter and Allen Carpenter. She was the grandmother of Sarah Rondeau, Daniel, Jack and Joseph Carpenter and Brian Constantino and sister of the late Lorraine Passcucci. Barbara also leaves her great grand dog Spikey.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Monday, April 22, 2024 from 4-7pm. A service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30am followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
