Odene Payne Moore, 91, of Tifton passed away Friday, January 31, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Roger Tucker and the Rev. Wayne Driskell officiating. Mrs. Moore was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Jimmy Moore, T. J. Hand, Marty Moore, Russ Moore, Larry Walker and Benny Johnston served as pallbearers.
Born October 27, 1911, in Marietta, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Randolph Frank Payne and Annie Bates Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Benjamin Moore; one infant daughter; and two sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Vanceville Congregational Christian Church.
Mrs. Moore is survived by one son, Darrell D. Moore of Tifton; one daughter, Brenda Lawson of Tifton; two grandchildren, Ron Lawson and Collette Lawson Tomberlin; and two great-grandchildren, Erin Lawson and Anna Lawson.
