Barbara Gayle Bishop Morgan, 57, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 8, 2003, at her home. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at Northside Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Dr. Fred Evers, the Rev. Douglas Reddick and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Mrs. Morgan was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Allen Johnston. Donnie Childers, Royce Bishop, Larry Tidwell, Miles Johnston, Billy Rooks and Daniel Scott served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the member of the Northside Baptist church Joy Sunday School Class and the Men's Adult II Sunday School Class, as well as Michael Scott and Danny Thomas.
Born September 24, 1945, in Ocilla, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of Clenon bishop and Ruth Johnston Bishop of Tifton. She was an educator for more than 30 years and served as a school psychometrist for the Tift County School System for the past 12 years. During her career, she was a primary teacher, a school counselor and an associate professor of Psychology at Abraham Baldwin College for 18 years. She and her family were members of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband of 35 years, Webster Byron Morgan of Tifton; two daughters, Hannah Marie Morgan and Mary Ruth Morgan, both of Tifton; and one brother, Jerry Bishop of Destin, Florida.
