Dorsey George King, 44, of Tifton passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. King at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 10, 2003, at Lawrence Cemetery in Tifton, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. T. Manuel Johnson officiated.
Earl Mullis, K. C. Cole, Jimmy Smith, Tim Brady, Jackie Wilson and J. C. Mullis served as pallbearers.
Born March 21, 1959, in Tift County, Mr. King was the son of George King and Alice Elaine Mullis Gardner, both of Tifton. He was a retired mechanic; and he was of the Nazarene faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King is survived by one son, Elijah King of Tifton; one brother and one sister-in-law, Roger King of Tifton; and one step-brother and his wife, Rob and Judy Gardner of Tifton.
