Obituary

Kythe "Billie" Sears Johnson, 86, of Tifton passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Willie Beasley officiating. Mrs. Johnson was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson's sons served as pallbearers.

Born May 2, 1916, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Harold Mortimer Sears and Kythe McClellan Sears. She was also preceded in death by her husband, CM Sergeant (Retired) USAF, Felix M. Johnson, who passed away in 1976. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Tifton's First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was a proud Air Force wife for over 30 years. She and CM Sergeant Johnson served this country at several Air Force based in the United States and the Phillipines.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by five sons, Alan R. Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Gary H. Johnson of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Mark F. Johnson, Stephen C/ Johnson and Robert E. Johnson, all of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, Gordon Sears of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Helen Tyler of Tifton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
