Thelma Lorraine (Perry) Figg, 92, of Anderson passed away on April 15, 2024 at her daughter’s home following a brief illness.
She was born on June 7, 1931 in Elwood, Indiana to Leroy and Esther Perry.
She worked production at Delco Remy for 32 years and retired in 1986. She was a member of UAW 662 and Cross Roads Global Methodist Church. She loved playing cards especially euchre, board games and bingo. She loved cooking, baking, going to the lakes and fishing.
She is survived by her four daughters, Lorrie Sumpter and Vickie Hensley both of Anderson, Hedi (Hubert) Dooley of Rockville, and Beverly (Randy) Hayes of New Castle; a brother, Terrill Perry of Daleville; six grandchildren, Michelle (Greg) McFerran of Anderson, Shane (Stephanie) Sumpter of Westfield, Matthew (Ashley) Dooley of Rockville, Tenille Davis of Indianapolis, Tanner (Stephanie) Howells of Pendleton, and Troy Porter of Anderson; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gerald Porter; two sons-in-law, Pete Sumpter and Eric Hensley; two granddaughters, Angel Davis and April Leisure; a grandson, Jay Porter; and five siblings, Mark Perry, Earl Perry, Tommy Perry, Richard Perry, and Virginia Kosh.
A funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Stephen Ellis officiating. The burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery in Daleville, IN.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
