Mr. Jacques Fournier, 85, of Methuen, passed away on April 14, 2024, at Boston Medical Center. The son to the late Albert and Imelda (Cote) Fournier, he was in Cabano, Canada, and moved to the Merrimack Valley in 1962. Mr. Fournier worked for many years as a maintenance man for the Lawrence housing Authority. He was a member of the Social Naturalization Club AKA the French Social, Knights of Columbus, Lawrence Civil War Memorial Guard, Lawrence Republican City Committee. Mr. Fournier picked potatoes in the 1950’s in Northern Maine. Mr. Fournier moved to the United States in 1962 with his friend Lucien Plourde, then proudly became a United States citizen in May of 1971. And was awarded the Life Saving Medal in 2002 for saving children from drowning in the Merrimack River. He loved to spend time with his family, work on small projects in his treasured basement and working in his garden. Jacques always made a lasting impression on anyone he met. In addition to his parents, he was also pre-deceased by his sister Madeline Fournier and brother Leon Fournier. He is survived by his loving wife Helene (Drouin) Fournier of Methuen, his beloved son Steven Fournier and his wife Stephanie of Methuen, three sisters: Jacqueline, Noella, and Therese Fournier. There are two grandchildren: Anthony Pearson, Nicolas Pearson, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut, MA.
