Shelley Jean Milligan, age 60, of Somerville passed away on Sunday, April 14th, at Mt. Auburn Hospital of Cambridge. A lifelong Somerville resident, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (DiGregorio) Milligan. Shelley loved kids and ran a day-care center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the children, and happily baby sat them for weekends.
Shelley was the dear sister of Alison Carter and her husband Steve of Easton, Dennis Milligan of Myrtle Beach, SC and his late wife Beverly, and Jodi Martin and her husband Robert of Woburn. She was the loving aunt of Sean Milligan and his wife Brittaney of Salem, and Ryan Milligan and his wife Amy of Belmont. Shelley is also survived by her great nieces and nephew Grace, Benjamin and Ryleigh, dear family friend Taylor Winters of Everett, and many more loving family friends.
A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne St., Somerville, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 8:30 AM through 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
