Heather A. Robertson, age 61, of Medford passed away on Friday, April 12th, at Kaplan Family Hospice House of Danvers. Raised and educated in Auburn, ME and Rowley, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Geraldine E. (Tesmer) Robertson. Heather was a true animal lover and worked for many years at MSPCA, most recently in the role of Director of Development and Marketing for MSPCA Adoption Centers. She found great joy and fulfillment in finding loving new homes for countless rescue animals. Heather also loved cooking, reading, interior design and most of all spending time with family and pets.
Heather was the loving partner of Gerald DiMare, and the cherished step–mother of Gioia DiMare and her husband Jason Messina, and grandmother of Ellaria Messina. She was the dear sister of Bruce Robertson and his wife Chris of Mashpee, Scott Robertson of Wyoming, and Jamie Robertson and his wife Meg of California. Heather was the beloved aunt of Courtney, Meagan, Daniel and Edward Robertson, Laurel and Owen Robertson,. Heather is also survived by her brother-in-law and God-Father Joseph DiMare of Burlington, and her step-mother and sister, Catherine Robertson and Bonnie Calnan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, April 24th, from 4 through 7 PM, and again on Thursday, April 25th at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9:30 AM.
