Robert P. Selfridge, 91, of Manchester, NH passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 18, 1932 in Cambridge, MA, a son of the late Walter and Catherine (Bachose) Selfridge. Robert was a resident of NH and formerly lived in St. Augustine, FL, Londonderry, NH and was a longtime resident of Westford, MA.
Robert was a communicant of St. Catherine’s church in Westford, MA. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Palau (CVE-122) and the U.S.S. Leyte (CVS-32). He received medals for National Defense Service, Korean Service, United Nations Korean Service, European Navy Occupation Service, Good Conduct and an Honorable Discharge.
He was employed by New England Telephone Company for 33 years. He coached the Westford, MA Little League for 10 years. Was a member of the Concord MA Elks, Lowell Sportsman’s Club, and a Lifetime Member of the NRA.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann Marie (Cafiso) Selfridge of 68 years, his two sons, Robert and his wife Susan, Paul and his wife Angela as well as a daughter, Marilyn, 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, Robert will be buried at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
