Paul E. Reynolds, Jr. died on April 10th at age 38. Born in Honolulu, HI and raised along the East Coast, he considered all of America to be his home. He attended Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, NC and Salem State University. Paul served his country as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps, deployed in support of the global war on terrorism. After earning his MBA from Baruch College School of Business, he lived and worked in New York City until he left to pursue other goals. An accomplished backpacker, he completed thru-hikes of the Appalachian Trail, New Zealand’s Te Araroa, and part of the Pacific Crest Trail. He explored thousands of miles by foot, bike, canoe, and RV, and was known for his ability to build a campfire in the worst conditions. He was also a remarkable chef and loved preparing intricate meals for his family and friends. As a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and fun uncle, he will be deeply missed. He is predeceased by his father, Paul Reynolds, Sr. He leaves behind his wife, Colleen, and 5-month-old son, Orrick Albert Reynolds; his mother, Theresa Reynolds of Lexington, NC; sisters Hannah (Kelvin) Collado and Tobey McCracken; nieces and nephew Lily McCracken, Eleanor and Rafael Collado; and many more. He will be buried with military honors in Salisbury National Cemetery.
