Elisema Eugene Jacques, a woman of profound faith, boundless love, and unwavering dedication, transitioned from this life on April 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and inspiration. Born in Haiti on July 15, 1961, Eugene brought light and warmth into the lives of all who knew her.
Eugene was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Pierre Jacques, a nurturing mother to her daughter Daphne Jacques and son Jeffrey Jacques, and a cherished sister to her six siblings Laforet Eugene, Yolette Nelson, Elize Eugene, Richmond Eugene, Benita Jacques, and Chabine Eugene. She was also loved by 29 Nieces and Nephews. She poured her heart and soul into her family, guiding them with wisdom, love, and grace.
Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, as she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to serving her church community. Irma's presence was felt in every aspect of her church life, from leading prayers to organizing events, always exemplifying the values of compassion and selflessness.
For over two decades, Eugene served as a PCA, touching countless lives with her gentle touch, comforting words, and boundless empathy. She approached her work with a spirit of excellence, treating each patient with the utmost care and dignity.
Elisema possessed a zest for life that was infectious. She found joy in the simple pleasures of traveling, capturing moments through her lens, and basking in the love of her family. Her laughter filled every room she entered, and her radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
Though Mommy Ma has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will inspire generations to come, serving as a beacon of hope and encouragement.
In honoring Elisema's memory, let us strive to emulate her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering faith. Visitation for Elisema will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 8:30-9:30AM, at the Missionary Church of the Haitian Community 100 Temple St. Somerville, MA, followed by a funeral service to begin at 9:30AM. Relatives and friends are invited.
Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, MA
