“Bunny”
LIMINGTON- Bunny Libby, age 63, of Limington, ME, passed away at home on April 10, 2024. She was born on September 12, 1960, to Fred & Lois Shaw, she grew up in Castle Hill. Bunny graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1978. She met her future husband in 1981 at his works Christmas party, she has been with Randy Libby since 1982, they were married on October 27, 1984. Bunny had several different sectorial jobs through the years, with Family Planning, Law Offices & Carroll Reed. While working at Northern Utilites Gas Company in Portland, she attended Westbrook College in the evenings, and in 1992 got a degree in business. Bunny quit her job in 2000 to raise their son. She worked parttime during the summers at Steeplebush Farm and then at Libby & Son U-Picks. For the last 8 years she has worked at Hannaford's in Standish.
Bunny loved gardening, she planted flowers everywhere outside, she had an herb garden to, as well as the vegetables and berries they grew, but she especially loved her rose gardens. She was always canning pickles & tomatoes. She loved spending time at their camp up north & sitting around the campfire at night. When their son was young Bunny was very involved in the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts until he made Eagle Scout. Bunny was always making baby blankets to give to any one she knew having a baby. She liked doing crossword & word find puzzles. During Christmas time she always went all out decorating every room of the interior of the house. Her favorite thing to do was spend time & play with their grandsons. Bunny will be truly missed by everybody who knew her.
Bunny is survived by her husband Randy Libby of Limington, son Joshua Libby of West Baldwin with fiancé Carli and sons Sam and Landyn, also her mother Lois Shaw of Presque Isle, sister Kathee Garland & husband Jim of Westbrook, brother Fred Shaw of Connecticut, & sister Nancy Holley & husband Earl of Georgia.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 19th from 1 - 2 PM, followed by a 2 PM funeral service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Burial will be at a later date in Limerick. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
