Obituary

Rose Mary Bruno, 83, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Derry, NH passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday April 11, 2024, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center of Derry. Rose was born August 29, 1940, in Boston, MA and was a daughter of the late Sarkis and Rose (Lopilato) Sarkisian. Rose was raised in Roxbury and later Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, moving to Londonderry New Hampshire to raise her children.

Rose was a homemaker and loving mother of five. She cherished her time with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing from the boat in Pittsburg (The Camp Up North as she would call it), she also enjoyed clamming and ocean fishing. Rose's claim to fame was on a fishing trip to Alaska. At the Great Alaska Fish Camp, setting the woman's record for catching the largest fish 47 lbs, 48 inches, King Salmon. Rose was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 1617 Women’s Auxiliary of Derry and a Lifetime member of the Halcyon Club, also of Derry.

Rose Mary is survived by her husband of 40 years, Louis Bruno, Jr., two sons, Eugene Cerullo, and Daniel Cerullo and his partner Kathie Smith; three daughters, Michelle Hart and her husband Lowell, Angela Cerullo and Maria Cerullo; and her step-daughter, Karen Smith, nine grandchildren, David, Brittney, Anthony, Michael, Chantelle, Brianna, Collin, Joshua and Vanessa and eight great grandchildren, a step-son, Steve Cerullo, her brother, Richard Sarkisian, and a sister, Andrea LeBlanc. Rose Mary was predeceased by her first husband, David Cerullo in 1978 and her step-son, David Bruno in 2021.

Calling hours will be held Sunday April 14, 2024, from 1 to 4 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium 290 Mammoth Road in Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 15, 2024, at 11 am, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 26 Crystal Avenue in Derry, with burial following at Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry.
