Kevin M. Griffin, a 2-year resident of Chelmsford and formerly of Billerica and Charlestown, entered into eternal life peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years of age.
Kevin was born in Boston on November 10, 1957, a son of the late George Griffin and Jeannette (Chappie) Griffin. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Kevin worked for the Town of Needham as a Craftsworker for over 26 years. Prior to working for the Town of Needham, Kevin also worked at Norelco Razor Company in Boston. Kevin was an avid pool player and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with his brothers and spending time on the beach. He was also a season ticket holder for many years for the New England Patriots. He was a member of The Halligan Club of Charlestown and The Somerville City Club. Family has always been an important factor in Kevin's life, and he cherished all the special moments and occasions he was able to spend with each one of his family members.
Kevin is the beloved husband and companion for the last 13 years to Niki L. (Rumbos) Griffin. He is the devoted father of Corey Griffin and Joseph Griffin. He is the beloved brother of Jeannette Griffin-Orpen, George Griffin, Karen Griffin-Ward, Lawrence Griffin, Linda Prendable, James Griffin, Shawn Griffin, Mark Griffin, Brian Griffin, Joyce Griffin and Derek Griffin. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kevin's visiting hours on Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2024, from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. with is Funeral Service at 3:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
