Vasil Marka, 86, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, April 9th at UMass Memorial Hospital – University Campus. He leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Nerenxa (Dilogjika) Marka; a son Dhimter Marka and his wife, Adriana of Worcester; a daughter, Ana Caci and her husband, Arben of New York City; two grandchildren, Arthur Marka and his wife, Marin of Lebanon, NH and Emily Tookes and her husband, Christian of New York City; two great grandchildren, Sotira and Spencer; one brother; six sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Jano Marka, Koco Marka and Spiro Marka.
He was born in Hoshteva, Albania the son of Gace and Agathi (Puleshi) Marka. Vasil immigrated to the United States in 1997 to be with his family. He worked as a lab technician in a chemistry lab for the last 42 years. Vasil was a devoted husband and father who loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a true family man who wanted nothing but the best for them.
His funeral service will be on Saturday, April 13th beginning at 10:30am in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A visitation hour will be from 9:30am until the time of the service in the funeral home.
