Dennis K. Copeland, 67, passed away at home in Anderson on April 5, 2024. He was born on May 30, 1956 in Anderson, to Walter C. and Reba (Davis) Copeland.
Dennis served in the US Army and worked as a construction and maintenance contractor for many years at Disney in Orlando, Florida, where he was a member of Laborers International 517. He returned to Anderson in 2020. Dennis enjoyed karaoke and playing pool. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #174. He also greatly enjoyed taking care of all the neighborhood cats and his pride and joy, Kitty Cat.
He is survived by his father, Walter Copeland; siblings, Ricky (Sharron) Kestner, Leslie French, and Tim (Ruthann) Copeland; cousins, Michele and Bill Huston, Lynn and Noah Goen; and several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Davis Downham, step-mother, Betty Copeland, siblings David Copeland and Lanette Weston, and aunt and uncle Barbara and Marvin Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 1PM at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will also be held on Monday beginning at 11 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
