CONNIE BARNES OBITUARY

Connie Sue (Cramer) Barnes, 62, of Penn Run, PA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from her home.

The daughter of Robert P. and Ruby M. (Widdowson) Cramer, Sr., she was born on December 22, 1961 in Indiana, PA. She was a loving caregiver to her husband and parents.

Connie was a graduate of Penns Manor High School and furthered her schooling with a degree in Cosmetology. She still enjoyed styling and cutting hair for her family and friends.

On April 11, 1981 she wed Roger W. Barnes. Their family grew to include three children. Connie and Roger shared over twenty-three years of marriage until he went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2004.

Connie was a lifelong member of the Penn Run Church of the Brethren, where she actively participated in the prayer team, the worship team and loved singing hymns and praise songs to God all the time.

She possessed a deep love for the Lord. A woman of great faith, she dedicated her life to God; her family and towards service to others. Connie’s character was exemplified in her desire to “Love Big and Care Deeply For Others.” With a welcoming heart, she was always lending a helping hand to everyone.

Some of her favorite community events Connie contributed her time and talents to were SonDay in the Park; Clymer Days and singing in the Cookport Fair Community Choir.

Connie loved taking and sharing photos capturing moments of family, sunsets, inspiring moments in nature and the moon. She had a lifelong love of horses and had shared special memories with her children when they were younger when she had a Morgan horse named Rebels’ Romance. She was also an avid reader.

She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and caregiver. Connie was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader. She was devoted to sharing the love of God with her family and all those around her. She thoroughly loved spending time with three of the greatest joys in her life, her three grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her three children: Jessica Sue Green and husband Chad of Penn Run, PA; Justin W. Barnes and wife Brittany of Clymer, PA and Rhonda Sue Ritenour and husband Eric of York, PA and her three beloved grandchildren, Noah and Apollo Green and Nathanael Ritenour and her four brothers: Barry Cramer of Erie, PA; Timothy Cramer and wife Janet; Jeffrey Cramer and wife Karen and Robert Cramer, Jr. and wife Veronica, all of Penn Run, PA

Her husband Roger’s family remained close to Connie throughout the years. Also surviving are her in-laws, James and Janice Barnes, Sr. of Clymer, PA; her brothers-in-laws and sisters-in law: Daniel Barnes and wife Patti of Clymer, PA; Debra Stiffler and husband Gene of Troy, PA; James Barnes, Jr. and wife Becky of VA and Kristina Buterbaugh and husband Ricky of Clymer, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews from both sides of Connie’s family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger.
