Margaret A. “Sis” (Morris) Remmes of Roslindale, passed away on April 1, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Remmes. Dear daughter of the late Melville and Margaret (Guittar) Morris. Devoted mother of Brenda Wenzel and her husband Walter of Medway, Ronald Remmes and his wife Karen of Kingston, and Marc Remmes and his wife Anne of West Roxbury. Loving “Nina” of Jeffrey, Megan, Michael and his wife Meagan, John and his husband Matthew, Christopher and his wife Erin, Jenna and her husband Patrick, and Madison and her partner Jamie.
Sis worked for the City of Boston as a Paraprofessional, teaching children with special needs for 30 years until retirement at age 70. She was a member of the Boston Police Women’s Post Auxiliary. Sis was a Girl Scout Leader, a Member of the Our Lady’s Sodality at Sacred Heart Church, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Saturday, April 6th at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Hwy, Roslindale at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting Hours Friday, April 5th from 3pm to 7pm in the Funeral Home.
