David “Davie” Wayne Montgomery, 60, of Tifton passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Davie will be laid to rest at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Davie’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 15, 1963, in Tifton, Mr. Montgomery was the son of the late Wiley Wayne Montgomery and Betty Carol Taylor Montgomery. Before retiring, he had worked at the Magnolia Plantation in Eldorado and at Avondale Mills in Tifton. He was a talented, amateur artist with emphasis on drawing with definition and color to his artwork, which included people and objects. He attended Tift Avenue Church of God.
Davie is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Bob McKenzie of Vidalia and Anita and Butch Hosey and Toni and Marc Hosey, all of Tifton; and many nieces and nephews.
