CHICOPEE – Ronald Lucien Archambault, 67, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, April 1, 2024. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on July 16, 1956, a beloved son of the late Lucien E. Archambault who was Called Home on May 15, 1985 and Theresa A. (Boisclair) Archambault who was Called Home on June 28, 2018. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Corporal. He was employed with the City of Chicopee in the Maintenance Department at the Water Pollution Control Center. He previously was employed for over 22 years at Gretag Imaging in Holyoke. Ronald enjoyed Fishing, hunting, and camping, and was a member of the Chicopee Sportsmens Club. He loved going to the beach and was fortunate to have cruised 14 times to the Caribbean and once to Alaska. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Caroline D. (Ross) Archambault. They were married on September 25, 1993 at Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 30 years of happiness together. He also leaves his two dear brothers, Robert E. Archambault and his wife, Karen, of Chicopee and Marc G. Archambault and his wife, Cynthia, of Hampden; his sister in law, Madeline Ross of Holyoke; his aunt, Florence Turner of Cincinnati, OH; his four nephews, his niece, his three grandnephews, his two grandnieces, and his cousins, numerous friends, and extended family members. His family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 11:15 a.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9:30 a.m.). His Committal Service with United States Marine Corps Military Honors will follow the Prayer Service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
