Joan Francis “Joanie” Forcucci, of Roslindale, passed away on, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Albert “Al” Forcucci for 56 years. Devoted mother of Christine Lavallee and her husband Paul of Auburn, Laura Calderone and her husband Lawrence of Boston, and the late Michael Forcucci. Dear sister of the late Sandra (Edmonds) Forcucci. Loving grandmother of Amanda and Brett Doherty, Michael, Nina, Nicholas, and Rachel Calderone.
Joan was born on October 27, 1947, to Noel and Elinor (Keegan) Edmonds who predeceased her.
She spent over 26 years in the Boston Public School System as a paraprofessional, teaching children with special needs and proudly served as a union representative.
Joan loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, especially during the summer months at Lake Shore Park in Gilford, NH.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, Friday, April 5th at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Hwy, Roslindale at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting Hours Thursday, April 4th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Funeral Home.
