RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A CELEBRATION OF BILLY'S LIFE ON THURSDAY, AFTERNOON, JUNE 6, (HIS BIRTHDAY) 2024 FROM 5 TO 7 P.M. IN THE CARR FUNERAL HOME, 220 BUNKER HILL ST. CHARLESTOWN.
William J. "Billy" Crowley, a resident of Dorchester and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Melrose Healthcare Center in Melrose. He was 73 years of age.
Billy was born in Boston on June 6, 1950, a son of the late William J. Crowley and Anne M. (Buet) Crowley. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Boston English High School in 1969. Billy worked as a Security Officer at Harvard University for over 20 years. Billy enjoyed horseracing and always looked forward to traveling to Saratoga with his friends Joe Fitzpatrick, Bill Mather and Jim Randazza. Billy was a devoted member of Tuna Park while growing up in Charlestown.
Billy is the beloved son of the late William J. Crowley and Anne M. (Buet) Crowley. He is the best friend to his beloved townie friends especially Joe and Marlene Fitzpatrick. He is the brother of the late Bernard Crowley and his surviving wife Vivian. He is the uncle to Steven Crowley and his wife Julianne and Lisa Evans and her husband Craig.
