ALEXANDRIA ---- Norma J. Gagne, 78, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Island Falls, Maine, the daughter of the late Hubert and Mildred (Doody) Ross. Following graduation from Somersworth High School, she went on to earn an Associate's Degree in nursing from NHTI. Norma worked for over 28 years for LRGH Healthcare as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 2009.
Norma always had a passion for sewing. She would design and make clothing for herself and family. She also applied those skills to her quilting projects which she made with love and care for those she loved. Summers were spent at the family camp in Holland, VT and even while there, she filled her day with sewing projects and crocheting afghans. Norma treasured time spent with family.
She leaves her husband of over 50 years, David of Alexandria; daughter Nicole Gagne of Sanbornville; grandchildren: Mason and Adam Gagne; Jordan Radcliff; and Windy Davis; a great-grandson, Jesse; brother and sister-in-law Carl and Jane Ross, of Texas. She was predeceased by one son, Eric, in 1999.
There are no calling hours.
Private services and interment will be held over the summer at Riverside Cemetery, in Alexandria.
