LACONIA ---- Anne L. Morrison, 91, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Concord Hospital- Laconia surrounded by her children. She had been a resident at the St. Francis Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home for the past three months and had lived in the Laconia, NH, area for all of her life. She was originally a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church of Lakeport, NH and later a member of the St. Joseph Church and St. Andre Bessette Parish – Sacred Heart Church of Laconia.
Anne was born on November 3, 1932, in Belmont, NH, the daughter of the late Ernest S. Morrison and Ida (Orcutt) Morrison.
Anne was a talented seamstress. She made custom furniture slipcovers in her home for many years, made matching flannel nightgowns and pajamas for all of her children at Christmas and even made several formal wedding/bridesmaid dresses. Mom liked to cook and bake and was well known for making dozens of different varieties of breads and cookies to share with family and friends. A few other of her specialties and her family’s favorites included mashed potato donuts, corn chowder, English muffin pizzas and meat pies.
Later in life mom enjoyed sitting on her back patio, watching the birds and the activities of Lake Winnisquam. She loved being the hostess for family and friends’ gatherings at the lake. Her pontoon boat rides were often enjoyed by many and created memories of sunshine and laughter.
Anne was the mother of the nine Ouellette D’s of Lakeport and they all survive her: Deborah & Michael Andriski, Dennis & Gale Ouellette, Denise & James Novak, Darlene &; Gary Bolduc, Dan & Amanda Ouellette, Dianne Ouellette & Raymond Poulin, Doreen & Steve Burrows, Dave & Tammy Ouellette, and Don & Terri Ouellette. She had seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Ruth Martin, Ida Maleham, Jean Brough, Marian Pitman, Jacqueline Morrison, and Dorothy Patterson; brothers, William Morrison, John Morrison, Robert Morrison; her dear sister-in-
law, Pia Morrison; and a very special grandson, Michael Andriski.
The Ouellette family would like to acknowledge and show appreciation to Terri, Nicole and Karen of her home care team, the Concord Hospital-Laconia ER and North 4th Floor staff, and most importantly her St. Francis Home roommate, Kathy, who all extended genuine kindness and compassion towards our mom.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 4pm-7pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10am at St. Andre Bessette Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1 pm at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
