Obituary



Dorothy T. (Annacone) Arcadipane passed away peacefully at her Chelsea home in the loving care of her family. She was 96. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Margaret (Lanzetta) Annacone.

A long-time resident of Boston’s North End, Dorothy was a loving wife mother and grandmother. She was also a devoted and loyal friend and confidant to many. Her Stillman St. home was not only a place of love and support for her family but a safe-haven to many friends who could count on her for advice and support when they struggled to make it through life's difficulties. She was the rock they could count on to get them through tough relationships or onto the road to recovery from addiction. Guided by a strong faith, she was devoted to St. Leonard Parish and often assisted the sisters at Julie Billiart School with their practical needs. Even as she began to age, she continued to show her deep love for her family by preparing wonderful meals and getting everyone together for Sunday afternoon dinner.

The beloved wife of the late Rocco Arcadipane who passed away in 2000, she was a devoted mother to Carol D'Amelio of Wilmington, Thomas Arcadipane and his wife Nancy of South Boston and Barbara Ronzio of Revere. She was a loving grandmother to Christopher and Brian D’Amelio, Michael and Thomas Arcadipane, Lisa Raineri and Christin Ronzio. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Leonardo, Luca and Giuliana. She leaves her dear sister Mary Gentry and was predeceased by her brothers Angelo and Louis Annacone and her sister Connie Chiarello.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at St. Leonard Church, Hanover St. Boston’s North End on Monday, April 1st from 9 – 11 AM with a funeral mass celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
