Eileen Theresa Franklin, age 76, joined the angels in heaven on Sunday March 25th 2024. She was battling cancer while living at her daughter Colleen’s home in Norton where she died unexpectedly and now is at peace.
Having her own struggles with mental health and overcoming them with therapy she went into the mental health field as a caregiver/ companion for the physically and mentally disabled before she retired.
Eileen was born in Boston 7/22/1947. She was raised in Foxborough, MA by her late parents Joseph and Grace (Brown) Mulherin. Eileen is survived by her daughter Colleen Davis and husband Matthew Davis, son Sean Franklin and girlfriend Jayden Arnold, brother Joseph Mulherin and wife Rose Mulherin, sister Betsy Rizzo and husband Charlie Rizzo, sister Kathleen Ethier and husband Paul Ethier, and many beloved nieces and nephews whom she loved so much. Eileen was the sister of the late Patricia Sullivan, the late William Mulherin, and the late Mary Ann Creighton and surviving husband John Creighton. Her 5 grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Jana Reis 13 yrs., Joshua Reis 8 yrs., Brandon Franklin 7yrs, Bryell Arnold 11 yrs., Brody Arnold 11 yrs. and Hanna Davis 20 yrs.
Eileen’s faith in God got her through the hardest of times. Devoted to pray, LaSalette Shrine was her place of peace and reflection. Eileen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her caring and sweet personality will be sadly missed by all who know her. Her family is heartbroken at her loss.
We invite all family and friends of Eileen to her visitation at Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton on Thursday March 28, 2024 from the hours of 4pm to 7pm.
Funeral services will be held at St Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, in Norton, MA on Monday April 1, 2024 at 11 am followed by burial at St Josephs in Medway, MA. The family invites all friends and family to join a reception following the burial.
