Stanley J. Kaminski

Retired Mechanical Engineer


TEWKSBURY: Stanley J. Kaminski, aged 81, a resident of Tewksbury for 51 years, passed away at Lahey Hospital in Burlington on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

He was the beloved husband of Mary T. (McGuire) Kaminski with whom he would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on April 15, 2024.

Born in Chelsea on April 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Stanley M. Kaminski and the late Mary (Szczepaniak) Kaminski.

Stanley was raised in Chelsea, attended Chelsea schools, and graduated from Chelsea High School.
Following graduation, he attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a mechanical engineer for the GCA Corporation for 40 years.

Stanley was a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Center, where he enjoyed many activities including woodworking, shooting pool, and serving as the official billiards scorekeeper, which according to his contemporaries “He was the best!"

In addition, Stanley loved spending time with his four grandchildren and traveling with his wife to her native land: Ireland. Besides his wife Mary, Stanley is survived by three sons: Michael “Mikey” Kaminski, of Dracut; James R. Kaminski and his wife Colleen, of Olney, MD; and Stephen J. Kaminski and his wife Kelly, of Quincy; four grandchildren: Logan Kaminski, of Dracut; Soleil and Celine Kaminski, of Olney, MD; and Samuel Kaminski, of Quincy; two sisters: Christine Kaminski, of Chelsea; and Joanne Freeley and her husband Kevin, of Jamaica Plain. He leaves several nieces, nephews, his close neighbors from Starr Avenue, and numerous friends.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 28th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, to be immediately followed by prayers and remembrances to be offered at the funeral home. Interment will be at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
