Janet Evelyn Williams, age 75, of Adrian, GA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Mrs. Williams was born in Glennville, GA on April 06, 1948, to the late Lofton Davis and the late Evelyn Nease Davis Moore. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Davis. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School class of 1966. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Brunswick. She and her husband owned and operated Adrian Food Pride for 42 years. Her favorite thing to do was preparing Sunday lunch for all of her family and getting to spend time with them. She loved her family dearly. She really enjoyed attending the Resurrection Assembly of God each time she was able. Janet supported every grandchild and great grandchild during all their life events. She never met a stranger, had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back if she knew it would help.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Riley Williams of Adrian, GA; two children, John (Lisa) Williams of Rockledge and Susan Channell of Adrain; grandchildren, John Williams II, Madison (Tyler) Peterson, Olivia (Lync) Channell, and Evan Channell; great grandchildren, Cohen Peterson, Amelia Peterson, and Addison Peterson; sister, Diane (Junior) Dowdy; brother, Dale (Mary Ruth) Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2 PM at the Resurrection Assembly of God in East Dublin, GA. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday one hour prior to service time. Rev. Hugh Spivey and Mrs. Angie Tanner will be officiating. Burial will follow in Fitzgerald at 5 PM at the Sturgeon Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
