Born September 15, 1955, in Tifton, Buddy was the son of the late Lloyd Leo Berger, Jr. and Martha Louise McMillan Berger. As a Tifton native, Buddy was well known throughout his local community. Along with his father and brother, he helped run Berger's Audio for the majority of his life where he developed a love for music of all genres. Family was very important to Buddy; and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, always making those around him feel special and loved.
He was a regular customer at the local Waffle House, always ordering the same thing - coffee with one cream, two sugars, scrambled eggs and grits. In his later years, Buddy developed a passion for Harley Davidson and was usually dressed head to toe in Harley gear. He could often be seen around town on warm days riding his trike and usually wearing his leather jacket as he was always cold. He loved being a part of the biker community and socializing with others, becoming a friend to all as he never met a stranger.
Buddy is survived by his two sons, Brandon (Tiffany) Berger of Kennesaw, Drew Berger of Enigma, and his daughter, Kaylee (Bryan) Avalos of Tifton; one brother, Richard “Ricky” Berger of Tifton; one sister, Debra (Allan) Marple of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren, Baylee Avalos and Story Berger; and two nephews, Derrick Berger and Kevin (Cecilia) Berger.
