Obituary

A graveside service will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th with a funeral procession leaving O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue at 10:45 a.m.


Paul R. “Ricky” Thebodo, Jr., 50, of Worcester died Wednesday, March 20th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his mother, Betty A. (Gallant) Thebodo of Worcester; his brother, Michael A. Thebodo and his girlfriend, Lynn McCall of Worcester; his girlfriend of nine years, Carol Brides and her children, Erik Lacaire and Shaye Lacaire; two stepsons, Michael Burritt, and Justin Burritt, and their mother, Theresa; his uncle and godfather, Ronald Thebodo, Sr. and his wife, Susan of Charlton and their children and families, Lisa Hanlon and Ronald Jr.; his uncle John “Jack” Thebodo and his wife, Joyce of Leicester and their children and families, Scott and Steven; his godmother, Therese Quink and her husband, Thomas of Venice, FL. In addition to his family, he leaves his brothers from another mother, a testament to the deep bonds he formed with those around him.
He was predeceased by his father, Paul R. Thebodo, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Cecile and Arthur Gallant who helped raise Ricky; his aunt, Claire; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Jeannette Thebodo. Ricky was born in Worcester and graduated from Burncoat High School, where he began his journey of hard work, dedication, and kindness that touched the lives of all that knew him.
As the proud owner of RT Trucking for 6 years, Ricky poured his passion and expertise into his work, leaving a lasting impact on the industry he loved.
His dedication was further exemplified through his over 20 years of service at Allegro Microsystems and Boulevard Towing, where his commitment to excellence and helping others shone brightly. Whether trucking, plowing, or towing, Ricky’s unwavering work ethic and willingness to lend a hand defined his legacy.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ricky found solace in the great outdoors, particularly in the pursuit of hunting. His love for nature and adventure fueled his spirit, bringing him moments of peace and joy in the wilderness he cherished.
Ricky’s kindness knew no bounds, as he was always ready to assist others in need. His resourcefulness and determination were unmatched, as he sought out solutions and aid to ensure that every task was completed with care and precision.
Above all, Ricky treasured his family and friends, finding joy and fulfillment in their company. His warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though our hearts may be heavy with grief, we take comfort in the memories we shared with Ricky and the enduring legacy of kindness and dedication he leaves behind. May his spirit live on in our hearts forever.
Calling hours are Tuesday, March 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Worcester Animal Rescue League.
