Pamela Manchester, 77, of Little Compton, RI, passed away on March 12, 2024, in her winter home of Margate, Florida, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on January 23, 1947, in Fall River, MA, to David Wood Smith and Dorothy (Leeming) Smith.
Pamela grew up in East Hartford, Connecticut, and summered with her family at South Shore Beach. That’s where she met the love of her life. Pamela was a beloved wife to William Manchester for 57 years, a dedicated mother to Kimberly Baltimore of Boca Raton, Florida, and Lisa Moy of Tiverton, Rhode Island, and a proud grandmother to Lauren Baltimore of New Orleans and Madison Moy of Georgia. Her sister, Marcia Benjamin, and her grandson, Taylor Moy, preceded her in death.
Pamela dedicated 28 years of her life as a Special Education Teacher for the Tiverton School Department, positively impacting the lives of many students. She received her education from George J. Penney High School in East Hartford, CT, and later pursued higher education at Rhode Island College. In her free time, Pamela found joy in traveling with her family, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured. Pamela Manchester will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private
